nik3 Stars Out Of 5Not what I was hoping it would beDecember 7, 2014nikThe reading passages are very simple and my son flies through them. He is in 3rd grade and I thought this would be great for reading comprehension. Apparently the 5th/6th grade book would be better and this would be better suited for my 1st grader as she gets a little older. Would recommend but not for 3rd.

I ordered this book to help her learn to improve her reading comprehension.
The selections are short and interesting, but they really make her think. She really enjoys this book, and her reading comprehension skills have improved a lot.
Shannon Rivera5 Stars Out Of 5October 2, 2009Shannon RiveraThe lessons in each book are written clearly so that parents and children can complete assignments easily. Reading Detectives has helped my daughters learn how to find information from paragraphs, passages, and readings from various subjects. It has helped them to look for clues, not word for word verbatim, in order to answer questions. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking to improve their child's critical thinking skills!
