Product Description

Ask any girl on the street what womanhood is about, and you'll get a blank stare in return. No one knows. Young women are devoid of vision beyond popularity, material wealth, a cute boyfriend or a dream career. Even in Christian circles, significant questions are often left unanswered: What's the point of purity? Modesty? Femininity? What's biblical womanhood? Most of all, girls wonder at the longing in their souls for something greater.
Uncompromising: A Heart Claimed By a Radical Love cuts straight to the heart of young womanhood. Rather than setting up rules, it pulls at the desire in every woman's heart to live a life of purpose, fully surrendered to His radical love. Written in an edgy teen voice, Uncompromising is a collection of "field notes" from the author's own search for answers.and the story of how she stumbled upon the one Cause worth dying for. Contains study questions for group or individual use.

In Uncompromising by Hannah Farver, the author insists we are called to follow the Cause, not just any cause. Farver helps us channel the passions we have into a solo passion for Christ. Her view is that, "We're meant to have a cause." She's saying that we're meant to have a mission, that we're meant to follow His Cause, not just random causes.

Written to young women, Farver’s main points are centered on the way they get "sick," view beauty, go after guys, and develop "a heart claimed by a radical love." Farver's book touches deep points but in ways that readers can understand. The language is basic. Readers relate as she gives great examples from real-life situations. In writing this book, Farver serves as a good example of how you don't have to know all the answers about what God wants; and yet, she is able to write a book that will help other young girls find their way to Him and to help others search for His Cause in their lives. An inspirational verse Farver includes in her book is Colossians 3:1-3 (NIV), which states, "Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, your life is now hidden with Christ in God." Farver is still learning, yet in the process she's also encouraging other young girls to think about what should be most important in their lives. She also addresses questions she sought answers to and that she found other girls were asking, too.

Farver's main point throughout the book is that the little causes can distract from the true Cause. We need to be able to look out for those things and recognize when we are drawing away from the Lord and no longer asking Him for help. Some of her sentences really prove her point, such as: "Loving God is your calling. This is what your life was created for." She stresses that we need to get rid of all little "c" causes and focus on His Cause. His Cause is the only one that ultimately matters and the little "c" causes only distract us from His Cause.

Farver doesn't force her opinions on readers, but merely gives suggestions and understanding about what is truly important in life. – Andrea Gregory, www.ChristianBookPreviews.com
