Mornings can be tough. Sometimes, a hearty breakfast and strong cup of coffee just aren't enough. Offering more than a rush of caffeine, best-selling author Paul David Tripp wants to energize you with the most potent encouragement imaginable: the gospel.
Forget "behavior modification" or feel-good aphorisms. Tripp knows that what we really need is an encounter with the living God. Then we'll be prepared to trust in God's goodness, rely on his grace, and live for his glory each and every day.

It is both convicting and encouraging at the same time. While Pastor Tripp doesn't mince words, in the summary, he shows how God's inexhaustible grace is applied to the situation. The author also includes a Scripture passage for further "study and encouragement" which serves as the Biblical basis for what was presented. This book is so good, you will not want to keep it to yourself! We have given several to family and friends and have yet to find anyone who couldn't put it down. In fact, it is a challenge, not to read more than 1 per day!
CalBarn5 Stars Out Of 5New Morning MerciesApril 3, 2017CalBarnQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Through the years I have used many devotionals for encouragement and inspiration.
There are many excellent ones out there. I currently have 3 or 4 right by my bed which
I refer to over and over as my favorites......Spurgeon, Jerry Bridges, How Great is our God
(a collection of many authors), and I have recently added this one. What a gem! I have
been blessed again and again by fresh, meaningful reminders of God's grace. I am planning
on giving this as a gift to 8 people I served with on a Pastor Search Committee---I think
that highly of it. I strongly recommend it to anyone who seeks unique insight and motivation
for the day. May God bless you as you read this wonderful devotional!
