This book brims with effective strategies for recruiting leaders, connecting members into groups, coaching groups for success, and giving people something to say yes to, even when they have rejected church-wide campaigns previously offered by their churches. Keys to effective, ongoing groups include leadership training, ongoing coaching, appropriate recordkeeping, as well as a sequence of aligned series rather than just a single occasional campaign. This book provides fundamentals that will insure ongoing success--proven principles used effectively in hundreds of churches across North America.
Readers of Exponential Groupswill learn how to connect their "unconnected" members into community, recruit the group leaders needed to connect and grow their congregation, coach group leaders for a sustainable group structure that will serve their church for years to come, understand how to maintain current discipleship strategies, and implement new strategies without alienating their members or derailing their current systems.

If you want to learn how to empower your people to step up and serve, and effectively reach those outside of the church, pick up a copy of Exponential Groups by Allen White.
—Greg Surratt, Founding Pastor, Seacoast Church President, ARC, and author of Ir-Rev-Rend
Allen has written a terrific book from the seat of a practitioner. Having helped countless churches start and maintain small groups ministries, Allen's voice is one to be trusted. But beware: read this book only if you're ready for your small groups to grow!
—Steve Gladen, Small Groups Pastor, Saddleback Church Author, Small Groups with Purpose and LEADING Small Groups with Purpose
"What you'll find in the pages of this book is time-tested strategy to exponentially multiply your small group ministry. Allen has the heart of a pastor, the wit of a standup comedian, and the experience of a professional football coach. If you are a senior pastor or a small group champion and want to take your ministry to the next level, I would order this book for yourself and your entire leadership team."
—Brett Eastman, Founder and President, Lifetogether Ministries, Author of the Doing Life Together curriculum series
I don't know anyone who has worked with more churches on maximizing their small groups than Allen White. In Exponential Groups: Unleashing Your Churchs Potential, Allen takes that wealth of experience and breaks it down for every church to easily digest and implement immediately. If your goal is to connect a lot of people into community in a short amount of time, then this book is for you.

This book provides thought-provoking suggestions and questions to consider as a shift is made to reinvigorate or launch a groups ministry.
Tom5 Stars Out Of 5Challanges you to challenge your thinking about groupsNovember 28, 2017TomQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5My book it all marked up with highlights and notes scribbled in my margins. Allen covers everything from A-Z when it comes to laying a foundation for a small group ministry. Be prepared to be challenged with out of the box thinking. I really like Allen's thought process when it comes to trying different approaches to getting more people into groups. He encourages you to not do away with what you are currently doing connecting people to groups, instead add another approach and see what happens. If your new approach works people will jump on board and those that don't let them be. After all, they are in a group! My plan is to go through this book with my small group team and senior pastor. I also loved Allen's humor throughout the book.
Laura Chapman5 Stars Out Of 5Get your highlighter ready!October 11, 2017Laura ChapmanQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This book is so timely for group ministries! Having been involved in groups for a decade, Allen's expertise offers a fresh look at groups and provides practical advice. Many questions that I've wrested with were answered and it gives me great information to use when talking with our church leadership. My copy is already highlighted and dogeared! Great reference book to keep handy.
Breanna5 Stars Out Of 5Must read for small group pastor and teamsSeptember 15, 2017BreannaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I've been in small groups ministry for over 15 years and I've read a lot of great books on small groups. There are a couple of reasons Allen's book stood out to me. First, as most authors, Allen writes with much experience. But what makes this book stand out, is that he doesn't just say "This is how I do groups and you should too". He gives a comprehensive list of methods to "do groups" regarding each topic in the book. The entire spectrum is covered. Then, he offers potential pros and cons for each method. Second, the suggestions in the book are relevant and practical. Lastly, I appreciated Allen's humor throughout. It was nice to laugh in the middle of my "research". I would HIGHLY recommend this book!
Peter5 Stars Out Of 5Renewed Vision for Groups!September 5, 2017PeterQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5There are many good books on the subject of small groups. Many of them have added to my life and ministry over the years. Exponential Groups by Allen White has expanded the thinking on this topic in brilliant ways. There is nothing worse than being stuck in a rut of hand-picking your group leaders and working hard for a stagnating groups ministry. Allen provides a road map out of the quagmire. Reclaim vision for your groups, learn practical insights, develop a plan to grow your groups ministry. Exponential Groups is an excellent book on a needed aspect of ministry! Highly recommended!
