Tell us a little about yourself. I am an author and columnist with over 40 years of experience surveying and mapping the Florida wild. I was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Florida in 1968 when I was eleven years old. I have been exploring Florida ever since. There is more to Florida than Orange trees and beaches.
What was your motivation behind this project? I wanted to bring my experiences from deep in the Florida swamps to life.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope young Christians as well as folks of every age draw courage from the pages of this book.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? I spent 2 years of my life writing this book. In the process I laughed, cried and realized how blessed I was to have lead a life of adventure.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? I loved the Hardy Boys adventure series. My wife has encouraged me to bring my true adventures to life in this book as well as in magazine articles.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: I wrote the book in the present tense to help bring out the excitement and adventure. Enjoy the read as I feel this is a story you will remember and a book you will never forget.
