I purchased this plate in spring of 2017 for my cousin and his wife. The words speak to me being married for 50 years too. It is beautiful! The couple loved it. It was in it's own protected box, inside a mailing box, well padded. Perfect condition. I asked for this gift from my own family and did not receive it, so I'm buying it for my husband and me. I love the words, It sums up all a couple goes through to be honored on their special 50th Anniversary Day. It is a beautiful plate with perfect sentiment. A treasured gift!!!

In my family, my parents are now the 4th direct generation of couples to be married 50 years or longer! That being said, I was purchasing this for my parent's 50th anniversary, to add to the honored collection of 3 plates, and had intended to send it gift wrapped with a card, early, straight to them. I'm relieved Christian Books does not gift wrap! I am to blame, also. I set the box aside to send a week before the big day. I opened the box to wrap the plate and was horrified to see the mangled, torn, and horribly taped box that someone had tried to fix. There was no pride taken in the attempt to repair this problem! There was no time to send it back, I let it sit in the box expecting to open the box, wrap the plate, and forward it in the same box to my parents. I cried. Although I tried, there was no way to make the box look pretty. I could only apologize profusely to my parents that their "golden" anniversary was only worth a broken box. Was the plate adequate, yes. Did they like the plate, yes. Would I recommend "this plate" to someone else, yes. Would I recommend Christian Books to someone else, I don't know, probably not. First impressions are everything and pride in your company and its products is too important to mess up!
