Publisher's Description

In Wells Landing, Oklahoma’s warm and welcoming Amish community, there’s always hope for a new beginning—and a second chance…

Five tumultuous years have changed Titus Lambert in every way. Back then, Titus was preparing to marry his longtime sweetheart, Mandy Yoder. Then came the unthinkable—a tragic car wreck that left Titus serving time for vehicular manslaughter.

Titus isn’t sure he belongs in this peaceful place anymore, but he must make amends. When he goes to visit the Kings, whose son, Alvin, died that terrible night, he’s shocked to see that their farm has fallen into disrepair. Alvin’s sister, Abbie, resents Titus’s reappearance, but there’s no denying she needs his help. Honest toil—and their evolving friendship—slowly help his soul to heal. But with his feelings for Mandy still strong, Titus must choose between two very different futures, and find the strength and faith to claim the surprising gift of a fresh start.

Titus Lambert returns to the Amish community in Wells Landing, after spending five years in prison for second-degree vehicular manslaughter. The accident took the live of Titus' friends Alvin King and Blaine Carson, and Eli Glick was left to spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair.

Titus has become a changed man, and he find that things have changed during his absence. For one, his sweetheart, Mandy has move on with her life and has married another man.

Shortly after his return, Titus makes a visit to the King farm, to ask for their forgiveness. Upon his arrival at the farm, Titus cannot believe how the King's farm has been neglected. He is also not welcomed by Abbie King, Alvin's twin. Titus decides that he is going to help the King family get their farm back in good condition. While Titus is working at the farm, he finds out that Emmanuel King has become an alcoholic and that Priscilla King is suffering from depression, all because of their son's death. Since Abbie has been keeping the farm running by herself, Titus starts to show up everyday to help her out. Little by little, Priscilla King starts to "come back to life;l but Emmanuel King is having trouble giving up drinking. Through all this Titus and Abbie become closer.

Meanwhile, Mandy, Titus' former sweetheart, confesses to Titus that she still has feelings for him. Titus tells her to stay away because she is now married, and besides Titus is starting to have feelings for Abbie.

Titus is confronted with a lot of decisions to make concerning his future, as to if he is going to stay in Wells Landing or go back into the English world. Titus is also confronted with his own demons from his stay in prison.

This is a very heartfelt story of love, trust, forgiveness, over coming alcoholism, depression and dealing with PTSD.

The author, Amy Lillard, did an excellent job in writing this story, as she has in all her other Wells Landing books.

I would, without hesitation, tell other readers to read this book and all the other Wells Landing series ( and any other book written by Amy Lillard

This book is about Titus Lambert. It is different from a lot of other Amish books. It is about a tragic auto accident and him spending time in prison. When he returns to Wells Landing after serving 5 years it is about forgiving himself and others forgiving him. It is a story of faith and learning to forgive and go on with life. Can not wait to read Marrying Jonah. .Got this book to review from Netgalley. Thanks for a great book.

Loved this fifth book in the series. This can be read as a stand alone or since these are all good you should read them all. This was a little different for an Amish story with Titus coming home after five years in prison. This was well written and a beautiful story. I really love all the characters. This treated depression and ptsd well. I received an ebook copy of this book from netgalley for a fair and honest opinion.

Titus Lambert has just spent the last five years in prison, which is an unusual situation for a young man of his background. However, an unfortunate incident had landed him there. While in prison, Titus suffered through and experienced many things that were outside of his background of experience, and they had a major impact on him. Thus, upon his release, Titus is not sure exactly what he is going to do. He is constantly warring with himself, reliving the incident that changed his life, and pretty much beating himself up. He feels the punishment was his to take, and now, hes not quite sure what his future will hold. One thing he does know is that he needs to do something to make amends with the Kings, family of his friend Alvin, who lost his life on that fateful day.

Shortly after his return to the community, Titus finds himself at the King farm. He notices how much work the farm needs and proceeds to help the family rebuild the farm. The Kings are appreciative of Titus help, well, all except for Abbie.

Abbie King cant believe Titus has the nerve to come to her familys home. He is, after all, the reason for their current situation. How can she possibly forget that and forgive him? As time goes on, and as Titus continues to help her family, Abbie finds herself not only forgiving Titus, but realizing he has captivated a very special place in her heart. At the same time, Titus makes a discovery of his own in that Abbie has made a way into his heart.

As Titus and Abbies relationship takes a turn, they each find themselves facing a variety of situations, including alcoholism, PTSD, depression, and much more. All of this combined makes Titus Returns a story of romance, a story of forgiveness, a story of overcoming obstacles, and a story of new beginnings and second chances.

Titus Returns is a great addition to Amy Lillards Wells Landing Romance series. The stories are all based in Oklahoma, which is a rare setting for Amish romances. The series gives a glimpse into what life is like in that community which includes their use of tractors. Although Titus Returns is part of this series, there are no cliff hangers, and it can be read as a stand alone. However, I highly recommend reading the entire Wells Landing series as well as the rest of Amy Lillards books. You wont be disappointed.

***** I received a copy of this book for review with no requirement of a positive review or compensation. This review reflects my honest opinions and viewpoints.

Titus Returns by Amy Lillard is the fifth book in The Wells Landing Series. It is an exceptional read! Titus Lambert is returning to Wells Landing. He has just spent the last five years in prison. No one, other than Titus, truly knows what happened the night of the party. Two of his friends died, and one was injured in the car accident. Titus was driving, and was the one held responsible for it. Changes happened in those five years. His girlfriend Mandy married another, even though she said she would wait for him. Is she completely satisfied with her current marriage? What happens when she knows that Titus Lambert is back in town? Abbie King, the twin of one of the victims in the car crash cannot believe Titus is back again. She wants absolutely nothing to do with him. Running into Abbie and offering his help, that she desperately needs on the farm, is something Titus can to do heal his brokenness. Will she allow him to help? Will she ever be able to look past the monster that she thinks Titus is? Will Titus be able to once again live peacefully and happily as a whole person in Wells Landing?

I highly recommend picking up a copy of this book! Amy really brings the characters to life; while reading, you will feel like you are right there with them in Wells Landing, Oklahoma, a most pleasant place to be! She does a great job relating the characters to circumstances that every one can relate to including frustration, loneliness, depression, addiction, hope, love and forgiveness. You will need to leave yourself some extra time while reading this book, because once you start, you wont be putting it down anytime soon!

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book from the author and have given my honest opinion.
