A More Peace-Filled Life Starts Today
The Christian life isnt exempt from times of difficulty, strain, and worry. But God didnt intend for you to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders. He offers an amazing gift to those who fix their eyes on Him: peace.
This 365-day devotional will help you release your worries to God and discover the peace that only He can give. Each devotion offers an encouraging Bible verse and closes with a prayer to help you find peace in the midst of any circumstance.
Spending each day with the Author of peace will bring a restful and refreshing year.

bethiebos4 Stars Out Of 5365 Days to Peace of MindDecember 7, 2015bethiebosQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 3Peace. It's something we all wish we had more of right? Peace of mind, peace of heart, peaceful relationships? In Cheri Cowell's new devotional, 365 Devotions for Peace, she tries to bring you a daily dose of God's Word that will do your heart and mind some good.
First off, the book itself is peaceful. It's a lovely light pink color that is warm and inviting. It's the perfect size to take to work, keep in the car, or beside your nightstand. I like that it's hardback so it will remain sturdy throughout the year.
Inside, Cowell does her best to give a variety of anecdotes that will help you cultivate a spirit of peace. The devotions are short and not terribly deep, but they fit the bill for keeping your mind centered on God's Word and what He has to say instead of the voices inside of our heads that seem to speak loudly sometimes. Each devotion starts out with a scripture reference and then Cowell applies that scripture in a practical and tangible way.
This book would be a great gift for any woman in your life that struggles with letting God take the reigns. His peace is perfect if we will allow ourselves to accept it.

Even though I know its a sin. Even though I know that I have a stronger savior. Somehow, there is a stronghold of worry in my life. Last night I had a bad dream about one of the kids, and then I couldnt settle back into sleep until I went and physically checked on him, poking him to movement in his bunk bed. So, I know I need a daily dose of peace to help me against worry. When I saw the new devotional,365 Devotions for Peace, I hoped that this would provide some of the focus that I needed for peace of mind.
365 Devotions for Peace is a traditional, hardcover, dated yearly devotional book. As such, for each date, youll flip to the corresponding page in the book to read a scripture, have 2-3 paragraphs of devotional application and a small prayer for the day. If you have a specific topic that youre looking for, the table of content roughly divides the content into topics, such as Peace at Home and Peace Within.
I love this as a gentle word to focus the day and a snippet of commentary. It really helps me to focus my mind for the day on Gods goodness and not on myself and my own obsessive worries. Im thankful for that. This is a great little book to help you feel peace and rest throughout your days.
