Product Description

It's been more than two years since homicide detective Livy Reynolds's cousin disappeared from Logan Point. Unlike most people in her hometown, Livy has never believed that Robyn left voluntarily. When Dallas private investigator Alex Jennings contacts Livy concerning a missing senator's daughter who was last seen in Logan Point, she notices eerie similarities between the two disappearances. But with self-doubt plaguing her and an almost instant dislike of Jennings, Livy is finding this investigation an uphill battle. With her future in law enforcement on the line, can she find a way to work with a man who is her polar opposite?

Library copy. So thankful for my public library!

This is the third in the Logan Point series, which are stand-alone stories set in the same place. Patricia Bradley is a newly published author who has quickly become one of my favorites. Her writing is just that good. It is full of suspense, suspects and squeaky-clean. While it is about murder(s) it is tastefully told.

And the characters, of which there are not a few, have enough depth and description to carry the reader with them as the mystery unfolds. Bradley hides her suspects well.

I love the multiple relationships and levels in the book. Even though her books are quick reads, there is always something to be learned from the characters, as they learn and grow with each other and with God. Bradley's books are not preachy but have a firm line of faith which occasionally pops up in the story.

The one thing I questioned was the conversation by the ten-year old girl -- she sounded much younger, especially in the beginning.

I highly recommend this book to all readers of either gender and any age. I'm looking forward to the next book.

    My rating: 4 stars

This is the third book in the series and by far the best. Each story in the series was well written, fast paced, and suspenseful, however, the third book went to a whole new level.

As I read this story I soon felt like I was in a Criminal Minds episode. The author did a great job of create suspense from the early pages and kept it going throughout. She also brought about closure to a storyline that was secondary throughout the series.

If you enjoy suspense with a dash of romance with a side of relationship healing this is a great choice. It is a book three but I think you could enjoy it without reading the first two. (Im a big fan of reading a series in order.) If you watch the TV show Criminal Minds you know it can get graphic, this book does not display violence to that level, it more about the psychological aspect of Criminal Minds .

Well done! I look forward to more from this author.

Gone without a Trace was a decent book, but it needed to be more about Livy and Alex. Maybe half the book was from their perspectives, and I needed more. I didn't feel like I got to know them.

On the other hand, I did enjoy having Robyn's perspective in the book. Maybe, the author should have written two separate books to give full time to all the characters.

Oh man, this book had me hooked. Gone Without a Trace is book number three in the Logan Point Series. I have read book number two, Promise to Protect, but have not read book one. I immensely enjoyed both books, but didnt feel it was necessary to read book two order to love Gone Without a Trace. Patricia Bradley is an excellent author and had me from the beginning. It was really hard to put the book down, and to be honest I didnt want to. The twists and turns were unexpected and I enjoyed every one.

Livy Reynolds has always had a feeling her cousin Robyn didnt up and leave her family. When Alex Jennings comes to town in search of information on another missing waitress, the similarities are hard to ignore. Alex is a private investigator, which right off the bat rubs Livy the wrong way. When she gets to know Alex a little more, he slowly earns her respect. Can they work together to solve the case and find the missing waitress? Will Livys search for her cousin get in the way? Does God have an even bigger plan for their lives?

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good story, with just the right amount of suspense and romance mixed together. You will not regret choosing to read this story, or any of Patricia Bradleys from what Ive seen. I received a copy of this book from Netgalley and Revell in exchange for my honest opinion. All opinions expressed are my own.

Livy (Olivia) Reynolds resists every effort to treat what her superiors call PTSD after an incident in which she shoots a teenager. Then one day in a dangerous situation she hesitates before she takes action and that slight hesitation almost costs her partner his life. Deciding to take some time to reassess her mental state and her career, Livy returns to her hometown Logan Point, the same town her cousin Robyn disappeared from two years ago. Now it seems another waitress has disappeared, this one single and a Logan Point resident for a very short time. Samantha Jo is also the granddaughter of a powerful politician and only days after her disappearance, he has sent a Texas PI to the small Tennessee (or is it Mississippi?) community. Will Alex Jennings be able to find the young, aspiring singer, or has she, like Liv's cousin, "gone with a trace?"

Author Patricia Bradley has suspense down to a science. Alex and Liv had just the right chemistry. Their personal problems and their attraction to each other add complexity to the story, but don't detract from the search for Samantha Jo. A profile of the likely kidnapper emerges, and as it does, Bradley supplies readers with an intriguing set of suspects, each as credible as the next. I'd like to say more about the back story of Robyn, but I can't do that without ruining the book-- again, the work of a talent suspense writer. Too many suspense novels I've read lately have the protagonists running all over the country, often so frantically that I have trouble following the action. And too often those chases seem to be just filler. Nothing like that in Bradley's writing. This novel is the third book in the Logan Point series; I read book one SHADOWS OF THE PAST and gave it a positive review at the time. I have not read book two, but I can tell you that reading the first books are NOT required. GONE WITHOUT A TRACE truly stands on its own. I received a copy of GONE WITHOUT A TRACE from Revell for review purposes.
