Publisher's Description

In the million-selling favorite, best-selling author Max Lucado leads readers through a word-by-word study of John 3:16, the passage that he calls the "Hope Diamond" of Scripture.

A twenty-six word parade of hope: beginning with God, ending with life, and urging us to do the same. Brief enough to write on a napkin or memorize in a moment, yet solid enough to weather two thousand years of storms and questions. If you know nothing of the Bible, start here. If you know everything in the Bible, return here. We all need the reminder. The heart of the human problem is the heart of the human. And God's treatment is prescribed in John 3:16:

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

He loves. He gave. We believe. We live.

Believers and seekers alike have flocked to this hope and continue to share this message with those they love.

Great book for hope and to give to new believers or to give as a tool to lead those to Christ.

Great book! Wonderfully broken down phrase by phrase and helps to explain the most powerful verse in the New Testament.

My husband spoke at a Baccalaureate Service and based his talk on this book. We told the students that wanted a copy of the book to let us know and we would get it for them. That's how good we think this book is. 5 stars

What a great book. I really enjoyed his thought provoking meditation on John 3:16 - phrase by phrase. The chapter on "In the beginning" brought tears to my eyes and praise to my lips. It was incredible. I also enjoyed the concept of the gospels being a "scrapbook" of Jesus life. I could just picture a scrapbook of pictures of Jesus at the wedding, fishing with his friends, talking to the crowds... Max has done it again!
