In the million-selling favorite, best-selling author Max Lucado leads readers through a word-by-word study of John 3:16, the passage that he calls the "Hope Diamond" of Scripture.
A twenty-six word parade of hope: beginning with God, ending with life, and urging us to do the same. Brief enough to write on a napkin or memorize in a moment, yet solid enough to weather two thousand years of storms and questions. If you know nothing of the Bible, start here. If you know everything in the Bible, return here. We all need the reminder. The heart of the human problem is the heart of the human. And God's treatment is prescribed in John 3:16:
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
He loves. He gave. We believe. We live.
Believers and seekers alike have flocked to this hope and continue to share this message with those they love.
With more than 125 million products in print, Max Lucado is America's bestselling inspirational author. He serves the Oak Hills Church in San Antonio, Texas, where he lives with his wife, Denalyn, and their mischievous mutt, Andy.

Lesa Smith5 Stars Out Of 5June 13, 2009Lesa SmithMy husband spoke at a Baccalaureate Service and based his talk on this book. We told the students that wanted a copy of the book to let us know and we would get it for them. That's how good we think this book is. 5 stars
Brenda Dix5 Stars Out Of 5July 17, 2008Brenda DixWhat a great book. I really enjoyed his thought provoking meditation on John 3:16 - phrase by phrase. The chapter on "In the beginning" brought tears to my eyes and praise to my lips. It was incredible. I also enjoyed the concept of the gospels being a "scrapbook" of Jesus life. I could just picture a scrapbook of pictures of Jesus at the wedding, fishing with his friends, talking to the crowds... Max has done it again!
