sarah1 Stars Out Of 5depressingMarch 26, 2018sarahQuality: 1Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1this is one of the most depressing movies I have ever watched. I watched most of it but I could not finish it. I had to watch a comedy just to cheer up.
GRM1 Stars Out Of 51500 StepsMarch 22, 2018GRMQuality: 1Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1We were very disappointed in this movie. On the cover it says "Free Bible Study Included" which would make you think it was of Christian character. We thought it was very carnal and didn't show anything that would draw someone to Christ. There were girls immodestly dressed, kissing when they hardly knew each other, loud rock music, etc. In the" Extras", 3 actors were talking about what it was like to be a Christian in the film industry and only one of them sounded like they truly knew what being a Christian is all about. Only one mentioned Jesus and He is the only way.
The story line could have been acted out in a more wholesome way which would have give a much better tone to the movie. We threw our movie out.

We totally enjoyed this movie. I was not sure about it when I ordered it but it was much better than I expected.
Ann W1 Stars Out Of 51500 stepsDecember 23, 2016Ann WQuality: 2Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1Overall, this movie was probably one of the worst I have ever seen...It was extremely disappointing. Not sure why it would be sold on a Christian website, as I could not spot any Christian values, and God was only mentioned one time in the whole movie. The actors/characters also didn't portray good examples of godly stewards.
My first impression was that the music was overpoweringly loud, and seemed to be inappropriate for the scene. I thought it would die away, but no, through the whole movie, the soundtrack was not only bad, but completely overwhelmed the dialogue, making the words even harder to understand (the actor's words were already difficult to comprehend).
The storyline was weak and I didn't understand how/why the father suddenly just changed his actions, and the transitions were rocky. No clear theme throughout, and quite a lot of scenes seemed unnecessary and not connected. The characters were flimsy and fluctuating, not likable at all. The acting was also a bit off...I couldn't see much genuine emotion. A story supposed to be centered around the transformation of the main character, but I didn't spot any visible change.
The only message I got was never to attend public school in Australia. I wouldn't recommend it for younger children as there were some drug use, "blind" romance and fighting scenes. I rarely say this, but it was a waste of my 1.5 hours. And, I'm still not sure why this movie is called "1500 steps."
