Author Bio
▼▲Rev. Dr. Dennis R. Edwards is Associate Professor of New Testament at North Park Theological Seminary (Chicago, IL) and the author of 1 Peter in the Story of God Bible Commentary series. Dennis has served as a pastor in Minneapolis, MN, Washington, DC, and Brooklyn, NY. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering (Cornell University) and has been a high school science and math teacher. He also earned a Master of Divinity degree in Urban Ministry (Trinity Evangelical Divinity School) as well as Master of Arts and PhD degrees in Biblical Studies (Catholic University of America). Dennis is married to Susan Steele Edwards, and they are the parents of four children. Dennis enjoys playing his flute and saxophone, as well as weightlifting, cycling, and playing racquetball as much as possible.
Tremper Longman III (PhD, Yale University) is a distinguished scholar and Professor Emeritus of Biblical Studies at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California. He is on the advisory council of the BioLogos Foundation, and is the Old Testament editor for the revised Expositor's Bible Commentary and general editor for the Story of God Bible Commentary Old Testament, and has authored many articles and books on the Psalms and other Old Testament books.
Scot McKnight is Professor of New Testament at Northern Seminary in Lisle, Illinois. He is the author of more than eighty books, including the award-winning The Jesus Creed as well as The King Jesus Gospel, A Fellowship of Differents, One.Life, The Blue Parakeet, and Kingdom Conspiracy. He maintains an active blog at www.christianitytoday.com/scot-mcknight. He and his wife, Kristen, live in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, where they enjoy long walks, gardening, and cooking.
