    Selman's two volumes on the Chronicles are very accessible. He writes well and has a keen insight. This is a very solid exposition.

    The TOTC tends toward compact commentary. Selman produces an excellent overview of 1 Chronicles. For those not interested in a lot of discussion into Hebrew grammar, this volume is a good choice.
