I love Lynette Eason, which is another reason that I was disappointed.
Ok Here goes
The storyline is about Olivia Edwards who is hired to protect Wade, a radio talk show host who has been getting strange threats. The organization that Olivia created is an all-woman agency. This I dont understand. Is this trying to push some kind of feminism? If so, shouldnt men be allowed in it. You know, equal rights and all? The whole series is about these woman, while I havent read any others in this series I am 90% sure that that they all fall in love with their clients, which is very unprofessional in and of itself. I was very unimpressed with her and her group.
Im sorry if Im spoiling anything for you, but Olivia never even stops Wade from getting into really dangerous situations. She didnt even do her job. I guess she kept him alive but just barely.
Honestly, Lynette Eason was one of my favorite authors. I really didnt want to dislike it, but I cant help it. I have bought every single one of her books but I will not be purchasing Without Warning (the next book in this series). I really hope her next series is better.
Mackenzie Carol4 Stars Out Of 5Always WatchingDecember 19, 2016Mackenzie CarolQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0Always Watching is the first book in Lynette Easons Elite Guardians series, and is also the first book I have ever read by her. I havent really had a lot of success when trying out new suspense novels in the past so I was a little unsure when I picked up this novel, but I have to say, I really enjoyed it! Although it took me quite some time to finally find the time to get through it, once I got to the extremely suspenseful ending, it was pretty much smooth sailing to the end. I had a few suspicions as to who the stalker was, but I didnt know for sure and I absolutely had no idea who his/her accomplice was, so I desperately wanted to get to the end and find out. I have to say, once I did, I was completely floored!
Olivia Edwards is such an amazing character! I feel like that is such an empty statement, but there are no wordsor none that I am willing to usethat can truly describe how really awesome she is, with all her tough as nails, Ill protect you at all costs, bodyguard stuff. Shes truly fantastic, but what I really loved was getting to know the heart on the inside behind all her strong exterior. She had such a tumultuous past, full of the type of heartbreak and pain no one should ever have to go through, and it helped me to better understand why she is the way that she is.
Wade Savage is an extremely stubborn character! All while Olivia is trying to help him he continually places himself in the path of danger, and though I know it is just because he is a protector at heart, if I was Olivia I would have completely lost my patience with him! Otherwise, he was a completely wonderful and caring manand I guess that protective instinct just proves my pointand I loved watching him interact with his daughter, Amy.
All in all, this is definitely a very interesting story, and the mystery most certainly kept me captivated from page one. Wades stalker was a really serious threat, and was an extremely terrible person who committed some very serious crimes! Every time I read a suspense or mystery novel, I am taken aback by how horrible humans can be when theyre taken over by sin, and this book was no exception. I am happy to give this story four out of five bookshelves, for being a very enjoyable read, despite some of the conversation being a little bit surface-y at times (yes, I know that isnt technically a word). I have to say, the unexpected twists and turns had to be my favorite part about this novel, and I am excited to read more of Lynettes books in the future!

When her company is hired to protect a famous radio psychiatrist, she soon discovers this is anything but an average job.
Wade Savage has a problem. He is being stalked. He thinks that he can handle the problem until the stalker turns their deadly attention to his daughter Amy. Wades father hires Olivias firm to protect his son and granddaughter.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I found that although the roles of who is the protector and who is being protected are reversed, Olivia was no less a women just because she was the one taking all the risk. She is not written as an over the top, female jock that we see so much of in movies and on TV. She is still a woman with all the thoughts and feeling that go with that. Wade likewise was still very masculine, intelligent and even a hero in his admitted need for help protecting his daughter. Sometimes it is easy to get carried away when writing such strong characters so I was very impressed at how realistic the author wrote these characters.
The author also incorporated God and faith into the story. Wade was a strong Christian and his faith in God shined within the story. Olivia character had a background that made her keep God at a distance. I found both of these scenarios something that as a reader I could connect with.
The story was a fact-paced thriller with a budding romance that will keep a reader up until the earlier morning hours needing to know what is on the next page.
I cant wait for the rest of the series.
4.5 out of 5 stars for a nearly perfect book.
Rosa5 Stars Out Of 5Action packed suspense!August 27, 2016RosaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5If you like Christian romantic suspense, this is a must read! Always Watching is yet another gripping, good-to-the-last-page novel. Ive read all of Lynette Easons books, and loved each one. However, I think this one might be her best yet!
Always Watching is the first book in a new series, Elite Guardians. It starts off with a bang, right from the first chapter. There is a lot of intensity, action that will keep you guessing until the end.
Olivia is a member of the Elite Guardians, a team of female bodyguards (I love this conceptits different!) hired to protect Wade Savage, a well-known radio show celebrity. Hes being stalked, and now he and his daughter Amy are in danger. Olivia puts her lifeand her heartin danger as she works to protect Wade and Amy, racing against the clock to figure out who the stalker is before anyone else dies.
The ending was great, a complete surprise for me. I kept guessing, but was not able to solve the mystery of the stalker myself. There were some cleverly-misleading clues given here and there.
Olivia is a character I liked immediately because shes real. Her issues were real. Shes attracted to Wade, which is a no-no, because he is her client. Wades faith in God strengthens this story, and allows us to see Olivias journey to trusting God.
I was given a copy of this book, from the publisher, in exchange for my honest opinion.
And now I cant wait to read the next book in the series, Without Warning, coming this summer.

I borrowed this book from a friend to read (so was not obligated to review) but I will because I really loved it.
Once I picked up ALWAYS WATCHING my attention was completely snared by the plot. Even the opening chapter, written in the "bad guys" point of view grabbed me. I had to keep reading. I was so engaged in the story I forgot to even try to figure out who was behind the attacks until about three-fourths of the way through, then I started having suspicions and trying to work it out. There was a twist I didn't see coming which is all I'll say about that since I don't want to give anything away.
If you like romantic suspense, you will love ALWAYS WATCHING. The sexual tension between Wade and Olivia isn't as palpable as in some of Ms. Eason's previous books, but the suspense tension is definitely high as you wonder how Wade's stalker knows him and his schedule so well.
A definite twist on who the body guards are, a group of strong female characters who have untold resources and abilities. ALWAYS WATCHING is a great book.
