"So many girls who are longing to be loved are looking in all the wrong places to be filled. Get Lost reaches into those searching hearts, pulls out deepest longings, and whispers brave truths about a feminine heart’s inherent search for love. Dannah Gresh tenderly reveals how to discover faith-filled contentment that will last a lifetime. Get Lost is a generational game changer!"
—Tracey Eyster, author of Be the Mom and founder of momlifetoday.com

"Confusing our desire for God’s love with a desire for a man’s love is easy to do. Dannah helps us understand God’s created design for this love craving, how we should respond, and what a true God-honoring relationship looks like. Her refreshing honesty and transparency reflect an authentic desire for Him. Dannah is wise and a worthy guide to follow."
—Barbara Rainey, cofounder of FamilyLife Today

"For every girl who has been in relationship after relationship and lost herself somewhere along the way… For every girl who has lost hope that God’s best is really out there when it comes to love… For every girl who has lost something precious and found heartbreak, hurt, and disappointment… Get Lost is for you. So much more than a Christian how-to guide for love, this book will change the trajectory of your heart by moving you from boy crazy to God crazy. Every girl needs to grab a copy and get lost in the wise guidance and biblical love story Dannah weaves so well."
—Erin Davis, author of the One Girl series

"This is not just another ’find your man’ book for young women. In this compelling read, Dannah Gresh effectively shows young women how to be lost in God first, so that if God then calls them to relationship, they will be far more able to love their man well. Dannah, you are a treasure, and so is this book!"
—Shaunti Feldhahn, best-selling author of For Women Only and For Young Women Only

"With transparency, winsome imagery, and wisdom, Dannah Gresh tells it as it is. We want boys more than we want God, yet only when we focus on His love, His life, do we find the fulfillment we seek. I got lost in the pages, and I can’t wait to share this book with the young women in my life. Getting lost in God is a message worth proclaiming!"
—Tricia Goyer, best-selling author of Life Interrupted: The Scoop on Being a Young Mom

"I can’t wait to get this book in the hands of every young woman I know. Dannah not only points out the dead end of trusting in a guy for fulfillment; she practically shows you how tp make Jesus the One your heart adores."
—Juli Slattery, psychologist, author, and cofounder of Authentic Intimacy

"This is one of those books that I learned from as I read but feel like I’ll return to and learn from over and over as the truths continue to digest into my soul. Dannah is easy to read and feels like a trusted friend."
—Annie Downs, author of Perfectly Unique

Dannah Gresh's Bible study "Get Lost" had been recommended to me by my cousin, so when I got the chance to review the book, I jumped right on it. Sadly, though with my busy schedule, I haven't been able to finish the study yet. Although the title seems questionable, the main purpose of the study is to get lost in God and not worry so much about finding a husband. As a young, single college student, I felt that this book was perfect for the situations I encounter everyday. My friends and I sit around at school and talk about guys frequently, sometimes in seriousness, but usually just joking around about getting married someday. I feel that our society is so focused on male-female relationships, that young girls aren't encouraged to be content in their singleness until God brings the right man along. This book has really helped me to accept that my future is in God's hands; If it's in His will for me to get married, He will provide the right man for me, but if it's His will for me to stay single, I can be content with that. I learned a lot about using my current station for God's glory, which has been very helpful since I just started college. I would recommend this book to every young, single girl because I think that every Christian girl struggles with letting God lead them in their path to marriage. It's very helpful for learning to be content with where you're at in life. The only issue I had with this book is that the second half requires a solid 10 day commitment, which is difficult to do when I have homework every night and two other bible study groups that I am in. Other than that, I would give "Get Lost" 4 stars out of 5.

We are using this book as a guide for our youth group, and it's great! The girls are loving it, and the leaders are loving it as well.

This book is a must read for every single Christian girl out there! I was struggling for a while being single and doubting if I'd ever get married. Dannah talks about excepting where you're at in your journey with Christ. It's not by accident you're single, God has you there for a reason. She taps into a girls heart and explains why we have this deep longing for a guys affection. It's challenging and life changing! A must read!

I've discovered the more I love a book, the harder it is for me to write a review...but I've gotta try!! I also have to add, don't let the title fool you, it's not what you think!

First, let me begin by saying, I feel that though this book was written for young teenage girls, it would be a good read for any age and even relationship status.

The book focus's on God, and developing a relationship with Him...so often we go after boys to fill the desire to be loved, while we ignore God, who has ever lasting love for us. Even if you're dating (or even married) the book teaches you to strive to have a close relationship with God because that's where true fulfillment comes from. Maybe you married young, trying to fill the need to feel loved, without a relationship with God, no man will fill the emptiness in your heart.

Because this book is written for teens, it's super easy and not intimidating if you're hesitant and not sure how to deepen your relationship with God...

    Though I say the book is written for teens-it's not written childishly. What I mean by it is, it's simple;

Dannah is a wonderful author you can relate to. She gets right to the heart of the issue and emphasizing that what you really need is a strong relationship with God because no man is ever going to give you everything you need.

Included in this book Dannah walks you through a 10 day "love feast" and finally the fulfillment. She talks about guys and God and how we get them confused....we start trying to get guys attention, to get guys approval, all the while ignoring God.

As I read this book, I dedicated every morning (before I even turn the computer on) to God. I spend at least 20 minutes, reading the bible, praying, talking to God and reading other Christian living books...as I read this book, I stopped caring about catching a guys eye (or even finding a guy)...My optimism, confidence and love for and desire to please God went up; this book helps change the way you look at things. And I would definitely recommend it!

I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this book review.

I'm not going to give you the whole low-down of what it felt like to read Get Lost, because I'm not going to be that open. It's convicting, yes. Easy to read, yes—except for when it's convicting (as always, right?). And it's about getting totally lost in God.

So that a man has to seek Him first in order to find you.

But it's not focused on getting lost in God simply because doing so will send your super hero careening down the nearest interstate toward you. It's focused on getting lost in God because that is what we are *called* to do.

Dannah Gresh did this book extremely well. True stories (we all love those, right?)—even a partial back-story for the beauty of the cover (which a couple of you really liked . . . and yeah, I know it's June). Clear definitions from the original Hebrew and Greek words (agape, ahabah, phileo, etc.) to tell you what the referenced Scriptures really mean, as we can find them vague and confusing in English. Explanations of Solomon's Song of Songs and the story behind it. And perhaps the best part of all of it: the ability to journal. After each chapter, Dannah puts note-pages for you to talk about what you're reading. It's one way to get some of those emotions out in the open, anyway.

Whoops, practically forgot to say this . . . the focal point of Get Lost is the 10-Day "Love Feast" . . . the time for getting lost in God and getting out of the Violent Craving for a guy and over yourself. But all of the book seems to be equally useful to me. Sincerely recommended.

I received this book for free in exchange for my honest review.
