The changes that occur to preteens can be very traumatic, but How You Are Changing explains to 8-11 year olds that these changes are normal and are a part of God's plan. From preschoolers to adults, the new Learning About Sex series makes the awesome gift of sexuality understandable to all. Age-appropriate explicit language and graphics throughout the seven books ensure that the reader is not getting too much or too little information. Series is designed to help you understand and explain it to your children in a realistic but biblically sound manner.

I have a gifted 9 year old. She is not ready for this book, so I think the ages on the cover are a bit young. I bought another book titled HOW GOD MAKES BABIES. That was much gentler and more appropriate for my child. HOW YOU ARE CHANGING has drawings, details, etc. This book goes into mechanics, parts, terminology, etc. If that's what you need, than this is for you, but if you have an 8 year old who is expecting a younger sibling or is simply asking his or her first questions, this is FAR MORE information than they might really be asking. This could be a good reference book for a parent, but I was looking for a book that my child could keep in her possession after we discussed it.

I have 5 children and have used this book with all of them. It seems to have the right mix of information and visuals, without being too graphic or too complex. I have recommended this book to many friends as well, who have used it with their children.

This book was of great help to parents who needed to talk with their son who is 10 and had no knowledge of these topics. The parents also did not know how to talk with their son about this subject. The books were of great help.

Excellent book! Covers very good, necessary information in a God-honoring way, and without giving too much information or being gross. Wonderful helps for parents in talking to their adolescents included. We've looked at another Christian series that was very worldly and rejected it. So glad we found this series.

This book provides honest and direct information about the physical changes that occur at this age, but also the emotional and intellectual challenges that are common!

Great resource. Easy to read, very age appropriate and continually expresses how God made each one of us special. I recommend this book to all my friends.

This books gives all the details with a Christian viewpoint. I'm excited I found a book to share with my 8 and 10-year-olds that goes along with our beliefs on such a touchy subject.

Great book and age appropriate. The only problem is that it does not address the issue of 'feelings' or 'being in love' enough. Unfortunately, these topics are much too present in children that age group already these days and need to be addressed from a Christian perspective.
