Care and cleaning instructions:
Always use a soft, clean cloth to dust and polish your shofar; never use water. Keep out of direct sunlight, and store at room temperature. To de-scent your shofar, spritz both ends of the shofar with a little bit of wintergreen alcohol or scented olive oil. If necessary, repeat this process a couple of times to fully de-scent.

Patricia Mumford5 Stars Out Of 5June 11, 2010Patricia MumfordI purchased the large Yemenite Shofar for my husband as a gift. He was excited to get it. It is beautiful. We have a portrait of Abraham and Isaac we got from Israel and we keep the Shofar mounted on a shelf under the portrait ( for everyone to see it) when my husband is not using it.
Susan Hoffmaster5 Stars Out Of 5December 21, 2009Susan HoffmasterI bought this as a present for my husband. He adores it. We have all be taking a try at blowing it, and have been fairly successful. The dog finds the sound quite attacting. The shofar has been placed in a spot so all can see it. My husband's response, was that he never thought he would own such a beautiful shofar.
Cherry Sell2 Stars Out Of 5April 8, 2008Cherry SellThe shofar is very pretty, BUT the stench is terrible. I have followed instructions as to de-scenting it, but it still smells so badly that we cannot stand for it to be in the house. I have treated it with wintergreen alcohol so many times I cannot count. We wanted to use it in our church services occasionally, but am not sure that we will ever be able to.
