This product more than exceeds my expectations.

When I was browsing a catalog that came in the mail, my eyes kept being drawn back to the section picturing the shofars from the Holy Land. I then watched several internet videos of various people playing them. I wanted to see what I could do with one. (I had played a few brass instruments in high school band.) Various sites said that the shorter shofars are harder to play than the longer ones. I ordered both this shofar and a 7-8" Ram's Horn shofar at the same time.
The Ram's Horn arrived first, and it took a bit to be able to get a sound out of it, but what a rousing sound! When this Yemenite shofar arrived, I was pleased at the polished smoothness of the horn, and the mellow, beautiful tones it produces. They both grace the antique table in my house entryway. My pastor has asked me to use this Yemenite shofar at the end of church service this Sunday (Palm Sunday) to coincide with the end of his sermon relating that the moment Christ gave up his spirit was the moment the priests killed the sacrificial lamb, and the shofar was blown.
