A great product!
I gave my 8 yr old twin grandchildren the Vol. 1 of this devotional last year for Christmas. They are so excited to use it every night and asked if I could give them Vol. 2 this year. It's wonderful to have children ask if it's time to have devotions. I hope there will be a Vol. 3 next year.

What bird uses a spear to catch its dinner? What miniature toy did almost every boy wish for in the 1950s?Why did people put Bubble Wrap on their walls? Not sure what these answers are? Well, I wasnt either until I began using The One Year Did You Know Devotions 2, written by Nancy S. Hill, during devotion time with my boys. Following the same format as the One Year Bible, The One Year Did You Know Devotions 2 has a kid friendly devotion for every day of the year. Each day has its own page and begins with an interesting trivia question. In addition to explaining the answer to the question, Bible verses and applications/devotions are included. This book is geared to children ages 6 10. I think the topics and devotions are very well targeted for that age range. I am reading these daily devotions with my two youngest boys, ages 6 and 9. They have been very interested and engaged in trying to figure out the answer to the trivia question before I can read it to them. But, more importantly, the Biblical lessons are sticking in ways that I would not have predicted. Im sure this book would work great for girls, but the entries are very boy-friendly as well. Even my 13 year old has shown interest in reading the entries on his own.I like this book a lot. I plan to continue using it with my children throughout the year. You can find out more about this book and other products by Tyndale House at www.tyndale.com. By the way, the answers to the initial questions are woodpecker finch, electric toy train set, and some thought it was a modern looking wallpaper that would be easy to clean. Pretty neat, huh?Disclaimer: This book was provided to me at no charge by Tyndale House Publishers for purposes of review. No other compensation was received.

We've both learned some interesting stuff that I don't think we would have ever learned had it not been for this book. This too can be used for many years, so it is a great investment. I think boys and girls would like this devotional. So if your looking for a devotional for a school aged child you might want to check out the Did You Know Devotional Series. Tyndale House Publishers has provided you with a complimentary copy of this book

The One Year Did You Know Devotions 2 was written by former teacher Nancy Hill. This daily devotional was specifically written for 6-10 year olds, but after reviewing it I'm sure kids of all ages will enjoy the fun facts presented in the book. Each page holds an unusual question to capture kids' attention and help them make important connections to truths from the Bible. There are 365 interesting answers to trivia questions such as:~What in the world was a "Dial-a-Fish"~How did a young person name a former planet?~How did a frog help invent the battery? The layout is simple and clean. The lessons are short, interesting, and to the point.I'm certain our kids are going to really get into this book, as a read aloud, and learn loads from it in the coming year! Thanks to Tyndale House for the complimentary copy of this book.
