Located in: San Diego Submitted: December 09, 2004 Tell us a little about yourself. This book in particular is written from the trenches of where most women live: multi- tasking! While writing it, I was wearing many hats: pastor's wife, international speaker, community leader, director of a women's minsitry, mom of a college student, teen and a junior higher, wife to Bill, the coauthor of Devotions for Men on the Go! I know God will meet the women on the go who read this because God met me on the go to write it! What was your motivation behind this project? When I travel speaking on my books like Men are like Waffles, Women are like Spaghetti, Woman of Infleunce, 10 Best Decisions Women Can Make and Treasure Inside Your Child, I listen for feedback from the women in my audience and they are STRESSED! They all want to know God better but have a hard time figuring out how to do that and balance all of life's responsibilities. I wanted a practical devotional--one that any woman could pick up, keep at her desk, in her car, or next to her bathroom mirror and still gain from it and grow. What do you hope folks will gain from this project? It was our goal to help women, busy women connect with God. I often tell my audiences, "Give God just five minutes a day and see what exciting things happen!" Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? In addition to my coauthor, Steve, I also have been encouraged and mentored by some great women writers like Jill Briscoe, Anne Lotz, Florence Littauer, and some wonderful male leaders have impacted my writing like John Maxwell, Drs. Cloud and Townsend, Dr. Jim Conway, Dr. David Jeremiah, and one of my classic favorite books is "Masterplan of Evangelism" by Robert Coleman. Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: I'd love to hear from you! Email me at mliving@sbcglobal.net. I also coauthor the marriage column for Crosswalk.com so check in each month for some encourgement for your marriage! Find Related Products |
