I feel that being able to summarize information is vital to the education of my children. This book has made it simple for me to teach writing to my children along side with their studies of American History.

This guide is an excellent tie-in with the Institute for Writing Excellence. It lays out one year of lessons, at a comfortable pace which follows the "Benjamin Franklin" approach to writing: make a key word outline, and rewrite the paragraph from your outline adding your own improvements.
Allows the child to write well and be creative from a 'starting point". I used with many ages at the same time (4th up to 10th)
