Gareth Goossen describes worship as entailing more than music, as entailing all of life. To that one can only say a hearty 'Amen.' But he does more than this, for he not only describes the goal of worship, doing so in a very down-to-earth way, but he also gives us the practical steps for progressing towards that goal. Worship does involve all of life, and I warmly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in entering into this reality.
Dr. Peter H. Davids, author, pastor, professor, and New Testament scholar At the very heart of worship is our longing to know and love God! Worship Walk helps bring us back to that heart in a compelling way! There are many powerful truths covered in this book I love the way Gareth helps us to remember the truth of the cost of worship. God is more committed to forming his character in us than he is in providing for our comfort. This book is a timely reminder of what worship is all about and how we are to walk it out in our lives. Brian Doerksen, world-renowned songwriter and worship leader Worship Walk is an amazing manual for Christian living. Gareth has taken foundational aspects of Christianity and shown them through the lens of worship. As a worship leader who has also found great joy in worshipping God through things in addition to music (mountain biking, for one), I found this book to be very affirming but also very challenging! Worship Walk: where worship and life intersect - eBook
By: Gareth J Goossen
I really enjoyed this book. Worship! Wow how are we worshipping the Lord in each day of our lives. I love to close my eyes during the worships service and meditate on the words being sung. We can get so caught up in just saying words and not really getting the message out of a song. I think we want immediate answers as Gareth quoted in here GodâÂÂs words â Be Still Know I am Godâ we all want everything right now. God say wait let me handle this I will decide if you need this or not. I love the way scripture is in the book to back up what is being said. Just everyday stories are awesome in how it puts itt out for us to learn from. I would highly recommend this book.

What is worship?
I think that we ask ourselves this question, how do I worship God all the time or do I? This book help us see that there are many ways we worship God. We have to choose each day who we will serve and worship.
Hopefully after reading this book you can say I do worship God everyday. If not, then we have some things to change in our lives so we do.

Pick Up the Pace & Worship 24/7
Worship Walk by Gareth Goossen is one wonderful book. Reading through each chapter felt like entering into a chapel where you could sit and encounter the love of Jesus reflecting on you from the worship experiences described. I especially found the sprinkling of modern day miracles within the pages to be encouraging and an antidote to the toxicity of those who downplay the works of God in current times.
This book contains a lot of good news I have never heard about in the media, and that is not just because I am in the USA and Gareth Goossen is in Canada. He has news all Christians and nonbelievers need to hear to boost our knowledge of how great our God is. This book enlarges the concept of worship so it no longer fits into the neat little time frame of Sunday mornings, 11:00 a.m. until Noon.
Gareth Goossen and his family have been radically dependent upon God. They have been open to His leading and have seen blessings of provision that can only be found through going beyond the compromising typical North American lifestyles. The description of sacrifice is not given to in anyway give glory to Goossen and his family but only to give glory to God as another form of worship is presented. God is shown to be supernatural and beyond our comprehension in His goodness and the way He shows His love for people.
Worship Walk is a book for all who follow Jesus and want to be more intentional in their expressions of worship. The book would be a welcome gift for worship leaders and those who help them. Worship leaders may feel challenged to present to congregants ways they can worship not only more effectively during the Sunday service but also at home and anywhere they may be.

Worship Walk is about living your life as worship to God. From the beginning it is evident the Gareth Goossen has put a lot of work and research into making sure everything he says is accurate and tries to explain it in a way that anyone can understand. He pointed out many things that are worship to God that had never occurred to me. I didnâÂÂt view them as worship until reading this book. He also has practical ways of incorporating them into your life listed at the end of each chapter.
While Mr. Goossen is obviously well versed in worship and itâÂÂs many forms, he doesnâÂÂt come off as âÂÂholier than thou,â just as a regular person who is trying his best to live a life of worship to God and still making mistakes along the way. I loved that! I also really enjoyed the way the book is written. It has a conversational tone to it. ItâÂÂs almost like youâÂÂre sitting down with him, just talking over coffee (or in my case, tea).
Probably my favorite part of all is how he constantly points to God. He reminds us again and again that we can do nothing apart from God. You want to change your life? Great! But youâÂÂll need God to do it. This book isnâÂÂt a list of âÂÂdo thisâ and âÂÂdonâÂÂt do thatâ instructions. ItâÂÂs meant to show you what worship can look like in your everyday life, what it means to be fully in love with the King of kings, and how that translates into changing your world.
This is a book IâÂÂm sure IâÂÂll read again, and possibly again. ThereâÂÂs just no way to absorb all the information included in each chapter without taking the time to study it and look up the Bible verses, and various resources he lists.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking to deepen their relationship with their Creator and who wants to learn to live a life of worship.
