Why are there so many religions? Do they basically teach the same thing? Are religious differences really important? Bruce and Stan address these questions and more as they take a close look at some of the world's major religions and belief systems. From Islam to Jehovah's Witnesses and from New Age Spirituality to Atheism, Darwinism, and Naturalism, this book features: key teachings of each religion; quick-glance belief charts; brief biographies of leaders; study questions for group or individual use; suggested reading for further study. Readers will also discover why spiritual searching is universal, how each religion compares to Christianity, the ten characteristics of cults, and what makes Christianity unique.

This book is great! It covers various world religions/cults in a neutral way and is very informative. I use it for group Bible study.

I would not recommend this book. This book claims to be comphrehensive and respectful but it is not. In an attempt to be humourous, the authors ridicule the non-Christian beliefs and their sense of humor is pretty lame. Also, they make a serious error in the chapter on Buddhism. In this chapter they claim that Buddhism is the main religion in Hawaii which is incorrect. I don't know where they got that misinformation from but Buddhism has never in the history of Hawaii, ever been the main religion.
