An imaginative interpretation of Biblical Events
August 16, 2011
I have not been able to put Dr. Beechick's book down this week. I find myself anxiously awaiting to see how she is going to interpret the next event in the Biblical record. So far my favorite has been the opening of the Great Rift Valley being the cause of the destruction of Sodom AND the fall of the Old Kingdom of Egypt without Abraham being slightly affected by the disaster. The next best is that the passing over of the Death Angel in Exodus was actually a massive earthquake that somehow only killed the firstborn.
I was looking for a guide to integrate history with the Bible, not a replay of Velikovsky's theories of how God needed nature to accomplish HIS work. If you looking for the fantastic, this is a good book for you. Otherwise, you may like me want to stick with Mystery of History Vol.1!
