Wonderful "extras" but quite large
This is my second bible case of this kind, got the large for my NLT Life Application Bible, and when I got an ESV Study Bible, the large wasn't quite big enough. Well, that is NOT the problem with this XL case! My kids tease me that I am bringing a suitcase when I leave for church or Bible study. That said, it is a very durable case, I love all the extras like the highlighters, pen, notepad and bookmark and the price cannot be beat!

Extra Large Bible Cover Does The Job
Needed an extra large Bible cover for my new large print, Life Application Study Bible. Lots of nice Bible covers at my church bookstore, but almost no extra large covers. So I bought on Christianbook.com. The cover looks nice, appears to be well constructed, and does the job. Only complaint is there is no thumb tab next to the zipper, so it is very difficult to engage the zipper when trying to close the cover with the Bible inside of it.

Extra large Bible cover
I have been using this cover for about six months now to carry my loose leaf NASB, highlighters, pens, pencils, note paper, ruler and magnifier, as well as a couple of booklets and tracts.
It is great for keeping everything together without various things ending up dog eared or torn. It is big but I've got used to the size after twelve months continual use. My wife calls it my hand bag (purse) but I call it my man bag or scabbard (where else would you keep a sheathed Sword?)
In order to minimise distractions I unzip it and open the velcro flap before church services as it can be quite noisy to open.
I am able to carry everything I need and even use it at home when studying in different rooms as it keeps everything together.
I have noticed other comments regarding the velcro coming loose so I will put a few stitches in it to prevent this happening - so far no sign of it coming loose. I tend not to use the handle much as I carry it upside down like a grip. The handle does seem very robust and it doesn't look like it will be a problem.
The only thing I would advise to do, is to put some form of pull on the zip as it can be quite awkward at times to grab it as it tends to hide away when fully open or closed. - I used a pull from my tool bag which works fine and solves the problem completely.
My wife is thinking of getting one for herself for her study Bible as the cover she uses is old, poorer quality and doesn't have the features this has.
I would definitely recommend this cover to anyone - measure carefully, order the correct size and you will enjoy many years of hard use.
What would you rather do, damage your Bible with all those notes entered over many years of study or eventually wear out a cover which can easily and cheaply be replaced?
I spend about 15-20 hours studying the Word each week and my Bible is in and out of it's cover at least 10 times a week, I have used it for about a year now and there is no sign of wear on the cover whatsoever.

Looks nice!
I bought this for a friend as a gift and I am more than happy with it. I bought it extra large because she often takes other things with her. I didn't read the discription close enough, and ordered a pen, pad, and bookmarker, but they were all included. Since there is a seperate place to keep everything, it might be a little too big, but that's better than too small, besides if she gets a bigger bible, it will still fit.
