I like this book because the kids get to fill in the information on the time line themselves. They get to choose what's important (with guidance, of course) and include it on their timeline. I believe that the more the kids are involved, the more they will retain. The more they see, hear, and do, the better.

My 14- and 13-year-old daughters enjoyed tracking their progress through history this past year in this timeline book. This hardcover, decoratively printed blank paged timeline book provides a classy, concise, and organized way to track the people and dates that you have studied. There is plenty of room for drawings/stickers and writing. My third daughter can't wait to start her own this year. I can't wait to see the whole book completed. What a treasured book it will be!

Both my kids love this timeline book. Until we started using it - they would bug me each day. I have an 11 & 8 year old both working in about the same timeframe and it's fun to see what each one sees as important features and events for each year.

If you need a resource for teaching history using a time line and love the look and feel of a "real" book, you'll love Wonders of Old! This is more than a school book - it's a family keepsake! Terri has created this over sized, hardcover book to "help your students understand and 'see' the progression of history with interactive and engaging time lines. It includes decorative pages on which to write historical events or attach time line figures. Terri has also included significant dates for each period and a place for notes in the back. This is a home school resource that will be treasured for years.
