Author Bio

Kimberly Sowell is the founder and president of Kingdom Heart Ministries, a ministry dedicated to inspiring women to make their relationship with Jesus Christ the center of who they are and how they live each moment, growing in Christ and sharing their faith with the world. Kimberly holds a bachelor of arts degree from Clemson University and a master of divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

A popular author and speaker, Edna Ellison, PhD, has addressed women in almost every state in the US and has led women’s conferences across Europe and South and Middle America. A humorist at heart, Edna loves collecting Christian jokes and leading women in her church in the Beautiful Hat Society, a group of Christian women who meet monthly for encouragement, laughter, and a time of sharing their mentoring adventures. Edna Ellison has raised two children and loves to spend time with her grandchild, Blakely.

Good in Small group Lots of women in the Bible that the ladies in our small group have never heard of or heard little of. Good practical applications, as well. The only complaint is that some of the fonts used are hard for the elderly women in our group to read. Especially the italics. October 11, 2012

Very easy to read and understand I am doing this study with 5 other women. It is vey insiteful. We are having a good time with this study. It shows us just how important women can be in different and difficult situations. March 9, 2012

I was looking for a bible study to do over the summer that would be easy to bring on trips and easy to do alone. It has been very enjoyable and has depth. I would recommend this to a friend. July 6, 2010

I've done three chapters in this book so far and it has been sooo great. The girls in my Bible study all get something different out of it each week that pertains to their lives, and its so neat to hear them share. This book is very interesting and make a lot of points that I haven't heard before. Its not overly spiritualized, meaning that the information is logical and practical to our everyday lives!
