R. A. Compton4 Stars Out Of 5February 21, 2004R. A. ComptonWomen in Ministry is a very accessible read for any Christian who is struggling with what the Bible says about the role of women in the ministry of Christ's church. The book is unashamedly complimentarian, and gives some compelling arguments for its stance. Dan Doriani has written with much humility and grace, on an issue which is often wrought with anger and hard-feelings. Dan has provided a fairly thorough exegesis of some key texts; however his exposition, in this format, may not fare so well against more detailed exegesis from the egalitarian side. In spite of that, the average layperson would do well to include this book alongside others in his or her study of God's plan for Women in Ministry.
