I think I'd be remiss in not mentioning that the author of this book (Mrs. Auger) went home to be with the Lord on 12/29/2011 according to an Online Washington Post article dated 1/10/2012/.
I enjoyed reading this book and think that the main message is twofold: When we are "empty" vessels not grounded in Christ, we become receptacles of anything if we aren't careful. Her void seemed to have stemmed from childhood and progressed to insecurity as an adult that led her to questionable company that made "evil fair seeming" (though not entirely intentional). That is the prime weakness that many cultist sects operate on and often what one finds when they are "lost" and "searching."
I identified with a lot of what she shared and felt, having "dabbled" in various new age thought during my early college years (something else for young people to be aware of- the slippery slope of "new age wave" sweeping college students!).
I also followed the "Praisemoves" citation reference at the end of the book (and also sold on this site) where the woman on that site mentions " 98% of rat poision is corn and only 2% is the arsenic that kills the rat." God detests "lukewarm" followers (Rev 3:16) and we must be ever vigilant and faithfully discerning the snares of this world, benign as they may seem.
I was truly blessed and inspired by her work. I daresay that I got my $ worth at such a bargain price- it is a read worth checking out and considering.
