Smart Woman's Guide to Planning for Retirement: How to Save for Your Future Today
October 15, 2015
I enjoy Mary Hunt's practical advice and the way she takes a complicated subject and breaks it down so it's easy to understand. This book touches on the majors - what to have in place before you retire - and is a good overview of understanding the basics of investments and planning how much you need in retirement. Some of the history she touches on is also very helpful for understanding how we got to where we are today and what to expect in the future. This is not a Pollyanna approach, but she does present reasonable optimism and hope.
I liked that she covered all the bases, not just a specialty. I also liked that she broke down information into laywomen's terms so that all that she covered was understandable. I liked that she provided examples that related to my personal experiences. Lastly, I liked that she gave hope, no matter what the age of the reader.
Just Get This Book!! There is so much information in the pages and yet you will not get bored. I gave this book 5/5 stars. I liked the idea of the book and thought the author did an excellent job of showing the steps to take to be comfortable when you retire. This is not a boring or monotonous book! I found the author's writing style to be entertaining and informative. I would recommend this book to all women, no matter the age!
