With Great Mercy is a provocative story of real life intersecting with Gods Word. Kathy Taylor invites the reader to observe both suffering and faith in process. There are no easy answers, just raw courage and deep spirituality. -DR. JOHN KIE VINING, DIRECTOR, FAMILY MINISTRIES, CHURCH OF GOD, CLEVELAND, TENNESSEE

Tell us a little about yourself. I taught drama, journalism, and English to high school students. I am now a rehabilitation counselor. I did my internship at the national office of the Trigeminal Neuralgia Association.
What was your motivation behind this project? People with rare disorders are often misunderstood. Sometimes people don't understand that real pain exists even when the person who has it looks fine. We all have things in common, and I wanted people to know they are not alone in their struggles. God loves us.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope that everyone who reads With Great Mercy (WGM) will gain hope to be released from pain in spite of terrible circumstances. Sometimes we need a fresh look at God's mercies and to be encouraged because they await those of us who need them most. Most victories are a process, not an instantaneous event. I hope that readers will tell their own stories as they read WGM. Each entry has a question for the reader and a space for his or her story to be told, one step at a time.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? I don't know that this book was influenced by anyone. I find authors who encourage me to tell my own story and reflect on my own life to be most inspiring. I wrote With Great Mercy when I was very ill. I would awaken in the middle of the night in tremendous pain. That is when God gave me this message. I wanted WGM to be extremely easy to read and to be brief because people who are in pain often have difficulty concentrating.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: After With Great Mercy was accepted for publication, I received God's greatest compassion. His healing touch took my pain, and I had to rewrite the end to let readers know I had been healed. My family, friends, and I praise God every day for His restoration.
