Today we face a unique dichotomy between the wisdom of the Baby Boomer generation and the passion of Generation Y. According to Wisdom Meets Passion, the question is not which is right, but rather how can the two work together?
Wisdom, meet passion. Passion, wisdom.
By bringing these two voices to the issue, this book takes readers through familiar plights, such as understanding the American Dream, the quest for security, and work that mattersregardless of age. Through candid storytelling, Dan Miller and Jared Angaza uncover various generational approaches to work, money, success, and relationships, proving that it is possible to be both passionate and wise..

Dan, the dad is a life coach and president of 48 days. His son Jared moved to Africa and founded an ethical fashion company. I found the book very positive and upbeat. A lot of the suggestions are very down to earth and achievable. They challenge you to follow your dreams but help you to also consider some of the hard work and perseverance that must go along with that. They also want the reader to reconsider the traditional path to success. They encourage you to seek out jobs and choices for you life that do not settle for the mundane but something you enjoy.I would recommend this book to a friend- especially someone who is looking at making some changes in their life or who, in the words of the author ‘dreads Mondays'.

Baby Boomers have relied on wisdom to pave the way to success. Education, knowledge, investing strategies, 401ks, real estate leverage and carefully contrived career paths were expected to lead to success in one's golden years. seeing the overall failure of that formulaic approach to life, younger generations today have relied on passion as the guiding principle for their version of success.
And yet both are necessary. Regardless of age, those using wisdom only to achieve their goals are likely to end up disappointed and unfulfilled-feeling as though they have been chasing empty rainbows. Those trusting passion alone may lose the power of wisdom and end up underachieving, falling short of their potential and unable to attain their worthy goals.
Wisdom without passion is a Ferrari with no gas in the tank. Passion without wisdom is a tricked out 57 Chevy with no steering wheel. In Wisdom Meets Passion, bestselling author Dan Miller and his entrepeneurial son Jared Angaza show how to blend the two-equipping you to accomplish your greatest goals, experience the thrill of fulfilling relationships, create meaningful work, and to complete your purpose and calling here on earth no matter which age group you represent.
If you only follow your passion, you may end up taking too many risks in your life and career. But if you only follow the wisdom of the elders, you may not take enough risk and end up with a boring, mediocre life with a job that you dread.
