Is your special friend always waiting at the door for you with a wagging tail and an unconditional look of happiness? Is your favorite lap warmer always ready to keep you company on dark and stormy nights?
No matter if your friend is furry, finned, feathered, or leathered, no doubt your pet plays an important role in your life and your family. In fact, your pet may be your family.
But after the inevitable happens and you sob your last good-bye, will you see your pet again? In Heaven? Does your pet have a soul? Will your pet go to Heaven?
This fun and light-hearted look at a seriously sad subject reveals many perspectives about Spots stairway to Heaven, Fluffys final resting place, and birds of Paradise. Will your pet rabbit rest in peace, or will your fish float forever in the septic tank?
In addition to their own blend of passionate and compassionate diva dialogue, the four writers quote devoted pet owners, clergy, friends, family, and even those who just arent "pet people." From the variety of perspectives and opinions, this is a heart-warming, tail-wagging conversation sure to keep you smiling from now until then…

Tell us a little about yourself. I am a Canadian mom, former foster child, author, ghostwriter, and speaker, living in British Columbia with my son, and my furry and feathery friends, a Jack Russell terror "Grace," miniature parrot, "Wally," and once or twice a week, with the neighbor's dog who shows up for some loving. I write and speak to inspire families, children, teens, governments, schools, Hollywood, and the media to return to God's values which of course, brings us into His heart and dreams for us. Also to see multitudes encounter the love power of Jesus and the supernatural reality of relationship with Him.
What was your motivation behind this project? "Will My Pet Go To Heaven" is the fifth volume in The Powder Room series, (Destiny Image), each book a topical and lively discussion between four women concerning real-life-serious and not-so-serious topics of life and death and everything in between. My motivation to co-author this book was multifold, but my inspiration was to connect millions of pet owners and animal lovers to the love of God through His love for Creation. In Will My Pet Go To Heaven, my groovy co-writers, Angela, Donna, and Tammy and I, all animal lovers, delve into the subject with the Bible as our primary resource, but presenting a mix of perspectives, opinions, and emotions!
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? But ask the animals, and they will teach you in hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of every human being. (Job 12:7, NRSV). Im persuaded that God created animals to teach us more about Gods breath in us, and what it means to be divinely human: exemplifying forgiveness and unconditional love, loyalty and courage, and other essential qualities that we can apply to our lives here, and in Heaven. Moreover, and this is important for all ages, that we learn to play, yes play for play's sake; no winners or losers, no domination or competition, no mean coaches or taunters; just feel-good romps, frolics, and tussles to bring laughter (and youth) back into our days!
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? As with our previous four Powder Room Books, this volume gave me much "paws" for reflection, and delving deeper into the subject of animals and the afterlife, actually brought me closer to the Lord, and the reality of Heaven! There are times, however, where I have had to seek deeper revelation concerning certain species of His creation, such as snakes, "I mean Lord, do You love them?" But the Lord reminded me that He is loving toward all He has made (see Psalm 145:9, 13, 16-17)!
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? My main source of inspiration is the Holy Spirit, who is the most creative Person I know, and I count on His downloads, and give Him all credit! As a result, my goal is to glorify God in all that I write, whether for secular or non secular markets, whether authoring or ghostwriting. People describe me as a humorously serious author, and I write in this manner because I know that my readers, especially today, are stressed out, maxed out, and overly burdened as it is. And laughter is a gift from God to heal our wounds!
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: All of the Powder Room books in addition to being animated reads, make great Bible Study Resources. Previous titles include studies on three wildly popular books, including: Reflections on The Shack, Reflections from the Powder Room on The Love Dare, and on 90 Minutes in Heaven. Our most recent release, Pina Coladas and the Pearly Gates uncorks the question, "Is it okay for Christians to drink?" and is quite the lively (and sober) discussion! I'm also pleased to announce the release of a sole authored project, The Single Parent's Guide series of books, the first, The Single Parent's Guide To Raising Godly Children, available here at Christian Book. The second, The Single Parent's Guide to Love, Dating, and Relationships will be released in February 2011. Spread the word, families are important to God, no matter the dynamics. To my readers, thank you so much for your faithfulness and support, and I invite you to visit my website where you will find my contact information, and an invitation to submit prayer requests. May the Lord richly bless you!
