But Kat doesn't feel like she deserves to be adopted, especially when lately she hasn't been contributing much at the farm. Her cancer may be in remission, but it's still left her feeling weak and she's constantly sick, which means that she doesn't even have the strength to take care of the few cats that she herself has rescued. Then to make things worse, she starts junior high and immediately has to work on a class project with the most popular girl in her class. So when things don't go exactly as planned, and things aren't looking very good she begins to feel like a failure. But will Kat finally realize that she's loved for who she is and not what she does?
Wild Cat, the third book in Dandi Daley Mackall's series is a truly wonderful book. Kat is such a wonderful character, and it's easy to see why those around her love her so much. And yet, how well we can relate to Kat, sometimes feeling that what we do isn't good enough. But as Mackall so wonderfully writes in her book, we are loved by an amazing God, and he loves us unconditionally, no matter what. I definitely give this book two thumbs up!
