Author Bio

Dr. Warren W. Wiersbe is an internationally known Bible teacher and the former pastor of three churches, including the Moody Church in Chicago. For ten years he served as general director and Bible teacher for the Back to the Bible radio broadcast. Dr. Wiersbe has written more than 150 books, including the popular "Be" series of expositional Bible studies, which has sold more than four million copies. In 2002, he was awarded the Jordon Lifetime Achievement Award by the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association. He and his wife, Betty, live in Lincoln, Nebraska.

I am really enjoying this book. It helps me to understand the big picture by filling in the details that I do not know and taking me to the parallel passages in other books for additional insight. I highly recommend this Bible Study tool! May 23, 2008

This is the first commentary book that I ever owned. Reading along with Dr. Wiersbe gave me a love for the Old Testament that I thought I would never have. I always thought the Old Testament to be hard to read and understand but Dr. Wiersbe's analysis made the text so readable and fun to learn. Eventually I progressed to his individual "Be" series books which cover every single Old Testament book individually. Excellent, must have. February 24, 2008
