ChristianBook eBooks on the Sony Reader
To read a Christianbook.com licensed eBook on your Sony device, you will need to use Adobe Digital Editions.
Without using ADE, the Sony Reader will attempt to open eBooks with its own software, the Reader Library, and you may receive an error message.
To bypass the Sony Reader Library, return to the eBook portion of 'My Account' on our site, and click to download the eBook again.
When the Adobe Digital Editions installer comes up, click on 'Download Item.'
If you are downloading a DRM Protected eBook, you will be prompted to open or save the URLLINK.acsm. Click 'Save'.
Save the file to your Desktop for quick access later.
Right-click on the URLLINK file, then select 'Open With' and choose Adobe Digital Editions.
If Adobe Digital Editions is not in the list, click 'Choose Default Program' and then select Adobe Digital Editions from the list.
Your eBook will open and display in ADE.
Plug in your Sony Reader, which will now display its model number and not just as Sony Reader.
Now just click, drag and drop your eBook onto the Sony Reader icon.
You can now eject your Sony Reader, open up the Books library and your eBook is ready to read.

Diane Mckay5 Stars Out Of 5so helpful and strengtheningMarch 21, 2011Diane MckayQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This book couldn't have been found at a better time in my daughter's and my life, as she was going through a physical crisis. She had already been through so much; we asked God why this? This book helped both of us emotionally, by strengthening our faith and helping us understand other's responses to her. It left us with more compassion for those who suffer. To God be the glory, before we even finished the book, He answered our prayers and directed her path to healing.

I loved it so much that I recommended it to my small church group and we are reading it together. It really opened my eyes to God's role in the pain I have suffered in my life, and has brought me much comfort.

Ingrid Segarra3 Stars Out Of 5June 8, 2008Ingrid Segarra"Where is God When It Hurts" gave me the chance to understand that God is beside us when it hurts but He does not explain us why we are hurting. After reading this book and concluding pain has no real logical and humanly understandable rationale I personally decided it is better to concentrate on getting better than on blaming God. Pastor Yancey makes the point that God is good and that He has a purpose for everything, but it is virtually pointless to try to understand why he poses pain in our lives. This author illustrates points where healing has not taken place and where healing sometimes never took place in this life. He suggests though that one day all the pain we encounter will be nothing compared to the joy we will experience in heaven as Paul says. So he encourages to look forward into the future because whether it is healing or heaven it is always best for those who have faith. So have faith.
