When the Enemy Strikes reminds you of God's unlimited ability to bring victory over spiritual oppression. To stand against Satan's attacks, Dr. Stanley teaches that you must meditate upon biblical principles and arm yourself with the sword of the spirit - God's Word. You'll learn how to overcome these attacks by identifying the enemy; dressing in the full armor of God; standing firm; releasing God's divine power and protection through prayer; and sensing forewarnings concerning finances, family, relationships, and health.

Your enemy is strong. The battle is real. Prepare for victory.
Fear, discouragement, loneliness, anger, temptation. These struggles are common to every human. Yet not all circumstances or negative emotions originate within. They could be the result of a willful, coordinated assault of Satan.
In When the Enemy Strikes, best-selling author Dr. Charles Stanley explores the often-overlooked reality of spiritual warfare?the tactics used by Satan to taunt, confuse, slander, and harm. Your adversary wants to crush your will, delay your promise, hinder your destiny, destroy your relationships, and lead you into sin. Dr. Stanley reveals how you should respond.
The most important component of warfare, says Dr. Stanley, is the supremacy of God?both His sovereignty and His power. Practically, this means the battles you face are ultimately allowed by God to bring you to a place of greater reliance on Him. His strength crushes the enemy.
This is a world of conflict between good and evil, of powers beyond the merely human. The battle is unavoidable, but take heart! God has given you the strength to stand.
Dr. Charles Stanley is senior pastor of First Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia. He is the author of numerous books, including The Blessings of Brokenness and other titles in the popular A Touch of His . . . devotional series. His popular radio and TV program In Touch is heard and seen worldwide.

Edward Fugee- Jr5 Stars Out Of 5May 23, 2010Edward Fugee- JrOne of the best books I've ever read! I often think about God in my life but rarely thought about the Enemy's influence on me.It sure explains why disturbing thoughts can sometimes pop up in our minds. This is a book you'll want to keep handy and read over and over again. Our Mens Group used this as a twelve week study and all involved found it very enlightening.
Denise5 Stars Out Of 5March 12, 2010DeniseWhen the Enemy Strikes truly has all "The Keys to Winning Your Spiritual Battles" for every believer! I recommend that every Chrstian read this book because we must be aware of how subtle Satan throws his fiery darts at our hearts. Jesus told us to be as harmless as doves, but as wise as serpents. He warned us of the thief who comes to steal, to kill and to destroy. This thief is Satan. He'll speak doubts to you to attempt at making your faith falter. His main goal is to make you ineffective for Jesus' kingdom. I also strongly recommend this book to an unsaved person so they may seek Jesus, The Light of the World.
