5 Stars Out Of 5
Classic Tozer-Deep and Profound
September 26, 2013
I've now read four of A.W. Tozer's books, and they are among the best Christian books I've read to date. 'Whatever Happened to Worship?' was created from a collection of his sermons on worship. Tozer's observations may be even more pertinent now than when he preached them over 50 years ago. Here are a few quotes from the book.
"We use artificial means to try to induce some kind of worship."
"the practice of picking out what we like to worship and rejecting what we do not like is widespread."
"so many Christians insist that they must be entertained while they are being edified."
"Study the Bible with the help of the Holy Spirit"
And here is a quote from 'The Knowledge of the Holy' that seems appropriate,
"The idolater simply imagines things about God and acts as if they were true."
