Easy to understand. Simplifies economics. Whatever Happened to Penny Candy? is an interesting book and it provides a great initial walkthrough for economics. I am understanding terms and concepts that I never comprehended in school. The book is set up as letters to Chris from his/her Uncle Eric. My 11 year old son finds it interesting as well. There is a study guide which I purchased separately. However, I decided to use it as a reference for discussion and vocabulary lessons. Most of the projects, in the beginning at least, require more skills than my son has at this time. His writing and research skills are in the early stages as he has learning disabilities. Hope this is helpful to you. We plan on buying additional books by Bluestock Publishing. October 12, 2010
