Publisher's Description

The thought of hosting a dinner party or even having a friend over for coffee is enough to give some women flashbacks of lopsided cakes or doomed casseroles from home economics class. But opening up your home to others doesn't have to be fancy or frightening or cost a fortune, says Karen Ehman.

In A Life That Says Welcome, she offers a practical, painless (no crafting or cooking aptitude required) course on hospitality. It helps busy women open up their hearts in order to open up their homes. Full of tips, ideas, recipes, to-dos, and how-tos, A Life That Says Welcome shows readers that opening up their homes is less scary and less work than they might think.

What a blessing and a joy to have this book in my collection. As one who is young in serving on our Hospitality Ministry, this book has inspired me and given me a whole new perspective on what Hospitality is from God's view, serving in the church, as well as in the home. I bought this for a Women's Retreat door prize to be given when we discuss the spiritual gift of hospitality. I loved the book and reordered three more, one for me and a few more to give a way. It's a great book filled with ideas and help in lots of areas, and offered at a great price.

This book has challenged me to reach out to my friends and neighbors. The food recipes are great - I have used 2 already - and the challenge to not be so worried about stuff but rather enjoy my guests, my home and myself has been very good. Great book!
