Product Description

Written by a veteran homeschooling mother of three, and built on the solid foundation of God's Word, each installment of this widely trusted curriculum is jam-packed with everything you need to teach your children at home. You'll find comprehensive, age-appropriate lesson plans for Bible, Social Studies, Science, Language Arts, Health, Safety, Field Trips, Vocabulary, Art, and Memory Verses, which are also used for Penmanship. All are custom-designed to be used in a Christian homeschool environment with kids aged 4 to 18!

The program is designed so that any of the five volumes can be used for any number of students in K through 6th grades. Color-coded grade level divisions enable the parent/teacher to measure the academic progression of each child. It should take about one year to complete each volume.

The Day by Day Planner is extremely helpful to anyone who is using this curriculum. Wisdom Words, a step-by-step guide to teaching grammar and composition, available from Weaver, is highly recommended to accompany this curriculum as well.

(Math, Grammar, and Phonics are not included in this curriculum.)

We used the Weaver with our oldest two children in their 1st grade and kindergarten year. We then left it for what was qualified as a "higher" curriculum. I wish now we had never done so. They remember what they learned in Weaver more than what they learned in any other curriculum. We now have 6 children and will be going back to The Weaver this year.

I have a 17-year-old daughter and we used the Weaver Vol.1 during her 1st grade year. It was the best year we ever had in our home school experience. I had started her in a program that was textbooks and workbooks in Kindergarten and we were burned out halfway through the year. The next year we used the Weaver, because I knew that there had to be more to home school than getting burned out in kindergarten. That year was the best year we have ever had, unfortunately I decided to do my own thing which was ok, but I wish now that I had stayed with the Weaver and now I have a 5 and 3 year old and I am using Interlock and am planning on going on to use the weaver for all of their schooling and for my 1 year old too. I always remember her 1st grade year as our best year and she often comments on that too. I highly recommend The Weaver, to anyone looking to home school in a way that they can look back on with good memories for years to come.
