In the book, We Travel an Appointed Way' we have another exciting compilation of editorials from A.W. Tozer when he was the editor of Alliance Life the official magazine of the Christian and Missionary Alliance. Tozer readers will find spiritual nourishment in these eloquent distillations of Reformation faith! Knowing God deeply and intimately brings purpose and meaning to life and should be the Christian's highest goal.
So what holds us back from authentic spiritual success? To the child of God, there is no such thing as accident. We travel an appointed way says Tozer. The path he treads was chosen for him when as yet he was not, when as yet he had existence only in the mind of God. Our way is ordered by the secret script of God's hidden providence, and true faith displaces any possibility for chance or misfortune.
Tozer tells us that we are full of life filled with providences and plans laid out from above. Tozer also lets it be known that we are not to be found as one who thinks we are one of God's pawns for that is the attitude of the unbeliever whereas the true follower of Christ will know that he is one of God's beloved! The difference is humility. Here we have 39 chapters of providence and the truth of the hidden God behind the Word of God who possesses faith. That is true belief!

Amy5 Stars Out Of 5September 13, 2010AmyI had heard so much about A W Tozer recently that I had to purchase some of his books and see for myself how good he was. I must say I absolutly love reading his books. They are written in such a way that they are almost intellectually poetic, but not over your head. This book is divided into very short chapters that take only a couple minutes to read. I use it in addition to Mornings With Tozer. After reading and re-reading Chapter 4 Autumn Winds, I decided I had to read it to my Sunday School Class. They loved it as much as I did. I have another book in this series that I can't wait to get into.
