In Dont Give In... God Wants YOU to Win!, Thelma Wells reminds readers that God has already equipped them to win the battle against Satan. Ephesians 6:10-18 tells Christians to take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Wells gives new meaning to this passage, creating her own version of the armor of God and encouraging readers to take on the fight that God has assigned us against the Evil One.

Every day, Wells fixes her hair, putting on the helmet of salvation. She pads her bra, wearing the breastplate of righteousness, and she tightens her girdle, her belt of truth. She puts on her stomping shoes, exhibiting belief and praise. Lastly, she grabs her shield and her sword, declaring the truth of Gods Word. A daily battle rages for her soul, and for the soul of every human on earth. Wells writes that all struggles are symptoms of this war, and that Christians must fix their hair, pad their bras, tighten their belts, get ready to stomp, and wave Gods Word up high for everyone to see.

As Christians fight using Gods methods, which Wells explains in detail, they can fight confidently, knowing that Christ has already won the ultimate battle. Tough times dont last; tough people do (p. 125). Taking on the armor of God, and allowing God to transform their minds, Christians can recognize the lies of Satan and counter them with the truth of Christ.

Wells spends half her book preparing readers for her explanation of Gods armor. She covers topics including obedience to God, characteristics of the Holy Spirit that guides us, and trust in God. Some readers may find Wells chapters on the influence of demons controversial. Wells recounts her encounters with demonic spirits, and admonishes readers to remove things from their lives that may welcome demons. Overall, though, Dont Give In... God Wants YOU to Win provides sound, sometimes entertaining advice, living up to its title and helping readers to understand how they can win the battle of life with the help of God. Author Bio

Thelma Wells has been developing training programs and speaking internationally for over thirty years, including such conferences such as Women of Faith and Extraordinary Women. She has written several books, including God Is Not Through with Me Yet. She serves as the president of the Daughters of Zion Leadership Mentoring Program, an organization she founded in 2000. Thelma has been married to George Wells, her best friend, supporter, and encourager, for over 47 years. They live in Texas and have three children, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
