The Way Children's Leader Guide is designed as a companion study for Adam Hamilton's book and bible study program The Way: Walking in the Footsteps of Jesus. The study contains seven lessons in total: six study lessons plus an extra lesson for Easter. This naturally lends itself to a Lenten study but the life of Jesus is also worthy of study year round. Leaders follow the Large Group / Small Group format with two small groups designed for children aged 5 to 7 years old and 8 to 11 years old. All activity pages are reproducible and a variety of activities are available for younger and older children. Lesson time: 45 to 60 minutes. Ages: 5-11. 80 pages; softcover from Abingdon Press.
Based on Adam Hamiltons The Way: Walking in the Footsteps of Jesus and used in conjunction with the churchwide experience during Lent and Easter, children will explore the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.
- Explore the stories of Jesus
- Learn about the places where Jesus ministry took place
- Experience some of the culture of Bible times
- Realize the significance of Jesus life on earth
Contains everything needed to conduct a six-week study complete with reproducible handouts.
