'Waiting for Mr. Right' brought back memories of my college years - from the candle light ceremonies in the dorm when someone got engaged, to all the real-life issues that were suddenly real-life to people I knew. I could relate to some of the tough choices and poor decisions Julia experiences in her first year of college. Well-written, engaging story with a great message!
My 11th grader read this fictional story and thought it brought out some possible consequences she wouldn't have considered otherwise about dating. I read it as well as liked the "Finding You" in the story and "Epilogue" features at the end that made it more personal. It highlighted how much she means to God.
I bought a set of these books to give to my teenage daughter only after reading book #1! Young women who are single, whether single moms, college aged, teenagers, etc. would benefit from the struggles that take place in these books. They would be nice gifts for teenage grandchildren, children, or kids in your youth group - do as a group study in a girls group!
Waiting for Mr. Right was a fantastic read! The storyline held me from start to finish - I honestly could not put the book down! As a parent of a teenage daughter, I was relieved to have this book and the sequels, Meeting Mr. Right and Marrying Mr. Right, to reinforce our convictions in the area of relationships, boundaries, and the need to stay close to The Lord and His protective covering in order to secure His best plans for life. My daughter loved the books as well, and the discussions shared with her have been priceless.
