She enjoys the games, also, which we do together. We give it a thumbs up! Reviewed by CC Cameron (York, ME), October 19, 2009From my 9th grader - "I love this vocabulary program!" I never thought I'd hear those words come from her! We have used a few different vocabulary programs to learn word roots, but this one is the first one that is not only simple, but effective! It has helped with spelling as well. The book suggests learning 3 roots per week, and then playing root word games the other 2 days. Instructions for games are included. By the end of the school year, you will have learned 108 roots (including suffixes and prefixes) that will enable you to decipher the meanings of thousands of words. Good for almost any age (once child can read and write), I would have used this earlier if I had known about it.
