The prayers in this book are like a soothing balm for the weary soul, which many times is how we find ourselves when difficulties arrise. It's a great book to have.

A great book compiled of uplifting prayers and devotions. I am using this to supplement Bible verses to comfort and encourage cancer patients. I looked for this book after reading a few exerpts I had seen.

What a Blessing! Each day when read a new prayer God touches my heart. I never would have selected this book if it had not been for the recommendation of John MacArthur. I thought Puritan payers would be hard to read.
Not so, the poetry flows with deep meaning and is easily understood.

Please keep this book in your inventory because it is a classic and has greatly added to Christians' devotional life for centuries. The modern version retains original content, yet it is easy to understand. I consider it one of my most prized devotional helps. So glad God made me aware of its existence!

This collection of Puritan Prayers and Devotions is awesome. The language is completely beautiful and reading it not only helps you focus on God, but it invokes new ideas and puts your focus where it should be. This book is totally worth the price.

Wonderful book! It simply captured the cry of my soul right when I opened it, and it continues to do so as I read the prayers over and over. What yearning and passion and intimacy with God this book inspires as it brings its readers to the throne of the Father! I lend this book out often, and so others can look for a deeper faith in the prayers of these pages! Highly recommended! God bless you.
