I've had this book for years and finally needed to replace it. I wouldn't be without this little gem. I prefer the original not the updated lanuage one. Its a great devotional. Gives you lots to thnk about.

I read this devotional every day after I read the Bible. Much more in-depth than most devotionals. These two books along with prayer help to keep me centered in the Lord Jesus.

The spiritual depths to which Oswald Chambers reveals in his devotions must be given meditation by the reader to comprehend the forcefulness of his words that need application to ones life. If you will read with a receptive heart, the Holy Spirit will impact his words to penetrate your life and bring you into an intimate relationship with the Lord you have not known before. For those who have a hunger to grow in grace, this devotional book will be a daily challenge to you, to walk "circumspectly before the Lord and pleasing unto all." Every sincere believer should have this anointed book as a daily challenge in their spiritual journey to read and re-read for its message to have a full impact in your life.

My Utmost for His Highest sets the tone for my day, every day! When we live under the teachings of John Wesley, gleaned from God's word, to live each day with clean hands and a pure heart, O. Chambers nails down the real deal to living for Christ on Janurary 15th. Have you had your "WHITE FUNERAL," which leads us to live out daily 1Thessalonians 4:7. We are called to HOLINESS. Without this sanctifing experience, it would be imposible to LOVE OUR ENEMIES, bless them that curse you, and then on top of that, do good to them that hate you, then beyond all that, PRAY for those that spitefully USE you and persecute you. In Christ perfect love. Oh the joy to walk in the light of Chamber's wisdom. Bless the Lord oh my soul. Thanks!
