When Kate Darby swerves off a mountain road to avoid hitting a California condor, she ends up trapped in her car, teetering on the edge of a cliff. Terrified, she breathes a prayer that changes her life.
It's Nick Sheridan who comes to Kate's rescue. Nick is handsome and confident, and he seems to develop a habit of rescuing her, but Kate is in town only until her grandmother recuperates from a stroke. She's not planning to get involved with one of the locals.
Nick is a reformed veteran of life in the fast lane, a new Christian, and a travel writer. When he sees a car dangling on the edge of a cliff, the daredevil in him jumps into action. He doesn't expect to be swept off his feet by the car's occupant. He's made a vow--no dating for a year--but keeping that vow is going to be a lot more difficult now that he's met Kate Darby. . . .

Until I Found You by Victoria Bylin starts off with Kate Darby swerving off a mountain road in California. Trying to avoid hitting a California condor, she now finds herself trapped and in a dangerous predicament. Nick Sheridan happens to be traveling that way and rescues her. Kate was only traveling that road as her grandmother Leona has had a stroke. Needing to care for her, Kate has put her career on hold in LA until her grandmother can recover. Her grandmother actually runs the town newspaper which Nick writes for so Kate and Nick will be working together.
Nick is a new Christian who had previously lived his life in a way that felt good to him. He was struck to a new low when he found out that his careless living had hurt someone and the consequences were more than he could bear. So due to his past mistakes, he made a vow to God and himself that he would not make any big decisions for one year nor would he date. He only had 6 months left to go when he met Kate.
Kate has lived a lifetime of hurt. Her father died when she was young and her mother died while Kate was attending college. Kate likes to be in control and only really trusts herself. She is extremely worried about her grandmother and wants to do her best in caring for her. She begins to have feelings for Nick, but she does not share his faith.
This is a story of a man who loves a woman and realizes he cannot be all she needs. This is a story of a woman who must relinquish control and learn to trust. And of a grandmother who understands her granddaughter’s hurt and journals her own personal faith crisis. This story has a lot of great nuggets of truth sprinkled throughout and I look forward to the next book by Victoria Bylin. I received this book from The Book Club Network, Inc. (TBCN) and the opinions are my own.

Until I Found You by Victoria Bylin
I really enjoyed this book. Victoria Bylin is a new author to me, but I plan to find more of her books. I found her style of writing to be fun, full of faith and realistic. You are sure to fall in love with the storyline and characters. Nick Sheridan comes to the rescue of Kate Darby more than once. He is not proud of his past as a bestselling author, but as a new Christian has the chance to save Kate’s grandmothers newspaper and write about the important things. Kate puts her career on hold to help her grandmother Leona when she has a stroke. Nick may be her hero but wants so much more. I was intrigued by all the information on Leona’s beloved condor’s. I give Until I Found You 5 stars and highly recommend it to anyone that enjoys Christian, contemporary and romance fiction
I want to thank the author Victoria Bylin and publisher Bethany House for bringing good clean Christian books like this one to readers like me. I would also like to thank The Book Club Network Inc. for providing me with this book in exchange for my honest review.

(I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my honest review of it.)
Here’s what I really liked about the book:
In this day and age, when careers and freedom are so valued over more important things, we see a realistic struggle with what is the best course to take. Big city vs. small town, helping family and friends vs. success in the world’s eyes, etc. The support of Nick’s Christian brother as Nick, a brand new Christian learns what it means to be a Christ Follower, is great! There is a real, honest progression of struggles and learning process as he figures it all out, what his life should look like now and how he can help Kate in the same way once she makes the same decision he has.
But this part bothered me:
I've lived in California for 10 years now, and have never heard anyone from here say “1-5″, which they use in the story. That’s what people like me say that are from Oregon, so I thought is was weird that they don’t call it “The 5″ as everyone here does, (I like authenticity).
Anyone with a fascination for Condors will probably enjoy the story as there’s quite a bit about them here. I hadn’t heard a lot about them before this. :>
All in all, it’s a pretty good story! See for yourself!

Kate Darby has everything she think she wants, A great career, A loving Grandma and is living in the limelight. When tragedy strikes she must learn to trust in others and God as well. She is unprepared for the twist and turns that she must face. Can she ever trust in a God whom she can not see? What about love, is there such a thing as forever kind of love? She never imagined meeting anyone like Nick Sheridan.
Nick is a man once in the same kind of fast lane in life that is now learning to trust in God himself. He never intended to be anyone’s hero. Yet, he seams to always be helping out the beautiful Kate. Will he loose his faith or will he loose Kate?
Victoria Bylin writes with much passion and chemistry. I enjoyed the personalities throughout this book. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes Contemporary Romance Christian Fiction. I was given a copy of this book by bookfun.org (The Book Club Network) for my honest opinion.

"Until I Found You" is a contemporary romance with some good, old fashioned values. Kate Darby is a single woman with a fast-paced, career minded life. She is happy with that life and loves her job and career, but she often feels empty inside.
Nick is a newer Christian trying to do things right. He desires to do his best for God and others with his life. When Kate and Nick meet, things happen! Sparks fly! And they both discover that maybe there is a bit more that they desire for their lives...
Victoria Bylin has written a sweet story full of modern day issues that we all (could) face. She has added humor, emotions and even a few "hero" scenes. Bylin did a great job adding faith, love and family into her story. "Until I Found You" is a lighthearted and enjoyable read.
